Rituals of Preservation (2020)
Digital Archive
'Rituals of Preservation’ is a documentation of artifacts found in Museums & Galleries around the North West of England. Objects, events and discoveries have been preserved and fixed in time, allowing new ways to view and understand the world around us; a process in which Photography imitates. This project derives from our desire to document, preserve and fetishize the dead in order to display them as living entitities, and modes of historical narratives.
